Final Blog Assessment 1B
My voice is heard throughout my blog in many ways. An example of this is in the post The Hunger Games Summery when I use parenthesis “Not all its citizens fight just one boy and one girl for each of the 12 districts (Actually there are 13 but no one talks about 13).” This shows my voice because I add a side note by using parenthesis which I tend to do and shows my style by showing that I like to add in details even if they aren’t crucial to the story. Another example of my voice is when a state “Eventually the games end and she is the lone victor. or is she?” This shows voice because I have varying syntax including a rhetorical fragment. I also end in a 3 word sentence which usually means it is a powerful or meaningful statement.
I usually use informal diction in my blog. I do this for 2 reasons, the first reason is because it is a blog and I want my readers to feel like I am talking to them and the second is because I want my readers to relate and have an eased informal mood while reading this. An example of informal diction is when a say “During preparations for the game Katniss learns That the man that saved her from her extreme poverty is participating in the games with her” The informal diction like preperations, and extreme poverty give detail but still seem casual when used.
The punctuation in my posts very from sentence to sentence. All for a specific reason, for example in one sentence I use an exclamation point “…and may or may not love her!” this shows emphasis and tends to mean that the stamen is shocking and important. Also I use parenthesis like shown in the first paragraph which adds detail but is not essential. I tent to do this because it either helps the reader understand or is interesting.

Summery of The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games takes place in a distopian society where the government makes its citezens fight to the death in an arena, Not all its citezens fight just one boy and one girl for each of the 12 districts (Accually there are 13 but no one talks about 13). The main character Katniss is from the slums of district twelve and has to preticapate in the hungeer games under some unusual sercomstamces. During preperations for the game Katniss learns That the man that saved her from her extreme poverty is preticapating in the games whith her and may or may not love her!
Through out the games it is obvious that this causes some man vs self conflict whitch adds on to the obvious man vs man conflict of the games. Also katniss has to face both man vs enviorment and man vs government as well, Katniss hates the capitol for the games and poverty brought upon her. Eventually the games end and she is the lone victor. or is she? The action she took during the end of the games may have saved a life but it also may have ended her own. To find out read The Hunger Games.

Hunger Games Symbols
I Finished The hunger Games. I Am pleased with the ending but shocked that so many people think the mocking jay represents Katniss. I think the mocking jay represents the districts all together not just Katniss, it sybolizes rebeling and tuanting the capitol. I think a more appropiate symbol for katniss is a wolf (lone wolf). Katniss has good hunting skills is smart and stelthy just like a wolf. Also she cries and acts out when someone from her pact gets hurt (district 11). Just like a wolf katniss is better in a pack were she can show her true strenghs but is veiwed by the reader as independent. Finally Katniss is slow to trust those she does not relate to, like a stray dog and a man with food, but instantly trust those who she connects with even though she knows better.
