I plan to read catching fire after i finish the Hunger Games. This is because the Hunger games leaves a lot of questions at the end and I feel like the plot is not finished. Also I really like the authors style in the hunger games and want to read more of her books. In my opinion a dystopian socioty is the perfect theme for a book and what is more dystopian the government killing its own people. Finally I want to read catching fire next because i heard it is even better than the hunger games.
Tell me. what is your favorite book.

Hunger Games Ch 18 Important Line
Warning though there are not to be any spoilers in my blog this post may be an exception for it is extremely hard to give the most important line in a chapter without giving spoilers.
I have just read chapter 18 in the Hunger Games. The most import line in chapter 18 is the last few sentences on page 244 "The news sinks in. Two tributes can win this year. If there from the same district. Both can live. Both of us can live. Before I can stop myself I call out Peetas name."
This is the most important line because the plot completely changes from the path it was going, Katniss no longer has to worry about killing Peeta but instead about finding him. This also shows that Katniss cares about Peeta because she cant help but to call for him now that she knows she doesn't have to kill him. This line progresses the plot because it keeps katniss's emotional conflict because she now has to worry about two people not just herself.
If you were Katniss would you go after Peeta.

Hunger Games vocabulary
The Hunger Games has generally simple vocabulary. The book is made up of average terminology and little to no slang in narration or dialogue. There are however exceptions where the diction is more sophisticated and there are slang words. For example on page 134 " 'whats going on?' says Effie, a note of hysteria in her voice." This shows good diction and vocabulary with the word hysteria though the book is not always like this. In many instances the author could have used better words but didn't. For example "One moment the sky was empty the next it was there it didn't make a sound but they saw it." pg 82. This shows average vocabulary with no meaningful words. If you were the author what vocab would you use?
